my love affair with food

i've never been the thin girl. i was never fat when i was growing up, but i was never thin either. of course i always FELT fat...but that really wasn't true until a few years ago. in highschool i was at a sexy 130. that's still heavy for a lot of girls-but for the way my body is built-i looked really good at 130.  i've since gotten married and had a child and never really lost the baby weight. in fact, i weigh the same now as i did when i was 9 months pregnant! yipes!
but i really started to gain the weight after i moved in with the man who became my husband.  we are about to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and this is the heaviest i've weighed in my life. i actually weigh more than my husband now-he is 6'3 and i'm only 5'5. holy cow.  last i weighed myself ( about four months ago) i weight 236! i asume i'm closer to 240 or maybe even 250 now! i don't have a scale, but buying one is going to be my first step in my weight loss adventure! i've done diet pills in the past, i've done excercise, and i've done weight watchers...all worked! this time around i'd like to radically change my diet and gain a healthier lifestyle!
my husband likes to eat big full meals everyday. before i met him i only ate maybe twice a day...and the "meals" never consisted of any real food. maybe a dollar burrito or a cup of soup. so when i got comfortable with him and started eating meals the way he did...my body rebelled in a BIG way.  and now that our son is 2 (almost 3) i really need to change into a healthier lifestyle for his sake as well as my own.  my family has "fat genes" and i don't want to pass that onto my son. my mother is losing weight now too and she's already lost 40 pounds in a few months by eating healthier and saying NO to JUNK.  i'm so proud of her and i know that if she can do it, I CAN TOO!
so here it goes.  i'm 25 year old mother and wife; i weight around 250...and my life is just about to begin!!! follow my weight loss and give any advice or encouragement you can!  i can't do this alone!
